The Iris section holds meetings on
the third Wednesday of every second month (even numbers) at a private
home in Austin's Ferry. Our meetings are informal and friendly; we are
all keen Iris growers. At meetings we discuss the growing and showing
of the different types of Irises and the pleasures and problems associated
with our hobby. We have field trips to the gardens of many members during
the year, especially in the flowering season (Oct-Nov).
The Iris and Rose show is in the Hobart Town Hall on the first week-end
in November each year. At this show you can see hundreds of different
varieties of Irises exhibited by our members.
We invite interested persons to join our section. Everyone welcome.
